A Different Kind of Innovation

Hello, I’m Neecha, an Anishinaabe-Celtic Futurist & Entrepreneur living in Tkaronto.

In my line of work, innovation meant faster, bigger, sleeker. Better ways to move people through a world that already felt too fast. I stepped away from that idea while living in a body that kept asking for something gentler. After years of chronic pain and fatigue alongside cocktails of medication and hormones, I started looking toward nutrition and plant-based care.

During graduate school, that search led me to Aniibiish. I discovered how innovation can be embodied in necessary, intentional pauses. The intersection of decolonial futures & women's wellness has become an essential driving force for my practice. I live to serve and respect forgotten wisdom & the relationship between us and the land.

Aniibiish begins with tea, but it does not end there.

FAQ

Do I need to track my cycle to enjoy Aniibiish teas?

No. You do not need to track your cycle to enjoy Aniibiish.

Cycle tracking turns our ritual kits into a more focused regimen, helping you choose blends in rhythm with your body throughout the month. Each tea can also be enjoyed on its own for its flavour, warmth, and carefully chosen botanical properties.

What makes Aniibiish different?

The cup comes first with blends we're proud to put beside any premium tea. What we can't be copied on is where it comes from: Aniibiish is Anishinaabe-owned, and our foundational blending technique draws on the plant knowledge of the Great Lakes territory, where plants are understood as relations rather than trends. In a modern landscape where wellness is often extractive, Aniibiish fills the gap with care and authenticity.

Why don't you have an ovulation tea?

There's a care concern for anyone managing anovulation or weak ovulation, we'd gently discourage introducing changes to their routine during this window as that can throw off an already delicate trajectory. Ovulation is often the steadiest stretch of the cycle, and Wild Nettle Renewal already carries you through that mid-cycle window.

Which blend should I begin with?

If you're already tracking, start with the blend formulated for your phase. If you're just starting, begin on day one of your period with Moontime Comfort, and let your cycle guide the rest:

The Northern Ritual Set has all three if you want the full cycle in one place.

How long before I feel a difference?

Many people feel the warming ease of the first cup. For the deeper shift a daily blend can offer, give your body at least two to three cycles. Ritual care is a marathon, not a sprint; it works the way a season does, not a supplement.

How often should I drink it?

One to two cups a day is a good rhythm. Each package is formulated with plenty: a full month's supply, with enough left over for the heavy drinkers among us. However, whatever is accessible to you for consistency is most important.

Can I drink this while pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive?

Please check with your healthcare provider before using herbal products during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while trying to conceive. We'd rather you ask first.

Can I take this with medications?

If you take medication or manage a health condition, check with a healthcare provider before drinking herbal blends regularly. These herbs carry real medicinal and physiological properties. That's part of what makes them work, and also why it isn't worth risking a drug interaction.

We share traditional uses as tradition and cite a source whenever we make a specific claim. Our teas are for enjoyment and everyday wellness, not medical treatment.
